Managing working from home during half term

How are you managing your time working from home over the half term?  It can be tricky with little ones in tow, but with careful time management it is possible!

Grab a pen and a blank piece of paper, draw some rows for your days of the week down the left and add ten columns across the top for time periods, ie. 7-9 am, 9-11am, 11am -12pm, 12-1pm, 1-2pm, 2-3pm, 4-5pm, 5-6pm, 6-7pm  and 8pm onwards.  Now chart your family time/activities and periods where you might be able to get some work done, for example in the evenings, during nap times if you have babies/toddlers, or when the children are having some chill out time watching a movie.  I know this seems a bit structured but it can really help you to plan out your week, provided of course you stick to it!  Also remember that it’s ok for some things to wait so don’t be too hard on yourself.

I know this is a bit late coming as we are half way through the week (slapped wrist)!  Good luck with managing your time and do let me know if you have any tips you would like to share.
